THE IMMIGRATION.—Elder Thomas Taylor manager of the immigration this year, arrived in this city on Sunday morning. He came in ahead of the immigration, for the purpose of procuring teams to assist the companies now on the Plains. The first train expected in is a mule train, and will be in in about four or five weeks, the remaining trains are expected in somewhat later.

We learn from other sources that, owing to the wet and changeable weather which prevailed at the time of the starting of the train considerable sickness prevailed in the companies. Elders W[illiam]. H[enry]. Waylett and Miles Romney were both sick. At the date of our information, Elder Romney was recovered and, owing to the indefatigable labors of Elder Joseph L. Barfoot and others in administering to the sick, many had entirely recovered, and the greater portion were in a promising condition.
