Mrs. Ann Pace, aged 85 years, died Sunday morning, May 19, 1918, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Tyler, in Thatcher.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, at 3:00 o’clock, at the church. The speakers were: W. W. Pace, David Lee, Sr., Mrs. Sarah Young, and President Andrew Kimball. All paid beautiful tributes to the deceased.

Mrs. Pace was born April 17, 1833, at Bedfordshire, England. She was baptized in the Mormon Church at the age of 15 years. Her family emigrated to Utah in 1855, leaving their home in England, February 25th of that year, and arriving in Salt Lake City, Utah, the following November 6th. They crossed the ocean in the Ship Sidens.

She was married in 1855 to James Pace. They were living at Payson, Utah, when the call was made to settle the Dixie country. They moved there in 1866 and were among the first settlers.

In 1882, the family moved to Thatcher, Arizona, arriving at that place December, 18th.

Her husband died in 1888, leaving her a widow with eight children, seven girls and one boy, four of whom are now living.

She also leaves fifty-four grand-children and eighty-six great grand-children.
