Elder Amasa Lyman arrived on Sunday last, from California, with a company of the brethren. A brief history of their journey may be found in this paper, from Elder Cain, who has furnished California papers to the 15th August--President Joseph Young arrived early in the week; and Elder Hyde left for Kanesville on Tuesday. May Israel's God speed him on his journey in safety, and bring in the remaining companies; among whom are Elder [Wilford] Woodruff and Bishop [Edward] Hunter; all expected in the course of a week.
