I with my mother [Sarah Britta Larson] and half brother [Anders G. Larson] emigrated to America in May. 1866 Crossing the Atlantic on the Ship "Humbold," was eight weeks on the voyage and landed in New York, from there we traveled to Florence Neb. and crossed the plains in Captain Nebekers train. were six months on our journey. My mother walked all the way across the plains carrying me in her arms. I being a baby of two years.
We landed in Salt Lake City in October[.] from there my mother went to Ogden arriving there with two small children and not a cent of money.
