Transcript for Job Harker reminiscences, 1922, 1
I was in Bishop Hunter's company of 100, Joseph Horns, 50, and brother Hoglands 10. I was too young to remember much about the trip but we had troubles and were not able to enter Salt Lake Valley with the first companies. My brother William was born in Echo Canyon, Sept. 26, 1847. He was the first white male child born in Utah.
We landed in Salt Lake Valley, Oct. 1., 1847.
