Transcript for Nash, Hester Elvira Poole, Autobiographical sketch
Our company all lived in an old schoolhouse at Kanesville, and stayed there until the company was ready to start the trip over the plains. I cannot remember the date on which I started, but we had our share of hardships. On the road several people died of cholera and one man was run over by a team, and killed, just as we were leaving Laramie, Wyoming.
We arrived safely in Salt Lake City after three months of nerve and body wrecking travel.
