THURSDAY EVENING, 24.

IMMIGRATION.—Captain Mumford's immigrant train came in this afternoon. There were twenty-eight mule teams, containing 250 passengers, almost entirely English and Scotch. They started for Platte River Sept. 1st. Five persons died on the journey to this city—Mary Rowlinson [Rathmason], aged 72, John Williams, aged 73, Lottie [Charlotte] Dunn, aged 7, Alfred H. Wade, aged 15, and Mary Passey, aged 6 years.

They [the company] had a very pleasant time coming and look remarkably well.
