IMPORTANT FROM THE PLAINS.—As on yesterday and Sunday very exaggerated stories were in circulation about Indian attacks upon the immigration to this Territory, we have been kindly permitted to publish the following telegram, which is the only information received on the subject:—
PRES. B. YOUNG:—At noon the day before yesterday, the Indians stampeded our cattle and tried to drive them off. In the attempt they wounded seven Danish men and captured and took away one woman, but got no cattle.
By another telegram to President Young, we learn that Hensen Walker's company was safely at Laramie on the 23rd.
LATER.—The following telegram was received late yesterday afternoon:—
Hensen Walker's company arrived here safely.
