November 16th after having returned from my touer [1] to missonez ore the land of zion with Brother Reynolds Cahoon stayed for a short tome in Kirtland and visited the some of the Churches the [?] then I took my journey on Nov 16th wendsay with Wm Mclelin towards the est the first day nigh we held a meeting at nelson with the Breathring 19th we held a meeting in the evening at garretsvill people being very hard and interrupted us at our meeting at garretsvill we also left our testimony with them we went and stayed to the house of Brother Cowens that nigh and also the nex day Coversing with serting one that came to inqire 19th we went a our way into the town of B(?)isvile and came to W. lanes and th nex day the Sabbath we held a meeting we had a very large and attentive Congration and we also had a meeting the nex evening and gave an apointment for Thursday at one o clock and also sent an apointment to the villege of Warin Wesport much time at the house of one Wm Barnam In Brasville we lab- ord much with him and his family on Thursday 24th we held a meeting acording to our apointment their were some that express disers to obey the Gospell we apointed a meeting again on sunday then on friday 25th we held a meeting in the Village of Worrin we found the people in that place very wicked we retur ned the nex day to Braseville 27th we held another meeting ot Braseville a man by the name of reubin fields and his wife were Baptised (?) the daugter of mr Barns would hav ben Baptised but her farther would not let her [2] he became hardend against the truth the same evening we held a meeting at reubin fields house after exorting the peopple Brother Wm laid his hands upon those that had ben Baptised they were fild with th the Holy Ghost and gloryfide God we held one one more meeting on Thursday 29th we left Brase ville on 30 day of november went from there into the town of weathers field we held a meeting in the the evening on the day after at eh house of damiel eaton we had a large congragation of people we apointed another on sunday 7th at John Edwards in the same neigbourhood wagon had a larg congragation we app had annother me ting james st johns in the same neigbourhood on the evening of 6th we again had a large congregatin the pregudices of many began to be Broke down and the spirit of the Lord began to work uppon the hearts of the peopple so that we had gre hopes of them that they would receive the truth and that the Lord wou ld build up a church in that place we held a meeting on the evening of 7th in the neighbourhood of mr Cherrys we appinted annother on the 11 of Dec in grist mell owned by james heaton prepared for us on that ocaision we fulfiled the same and we had a large canregation Brother Wmspoke of the nature of the to places of gathering of the land of zion and the land of jeruselem I spoke of the testimony and bore testimony of th which the Lord had given to the poepple of this generation of his work the fulness of the gospell lis everlasting covinant and bore testimony of these things 13 of Dec we held a meeting at Mr [3] St johns there were to presented themselves bap as candedates for baptism Mrs St John and Mrs Reed the next day were baptized and the same evening we held a meeting there was a large congre gation gathered together and after preaching to them we laid our hands upon those who were bap tised and there were to more that came forward and were baptized strate way their names Samuel Burwell Elizabeth everhart on 17thand 18 we held meetings one yin the town of orson and one in or near the town of young Tusday 22th we held a meeting at mr edwards in weathersfield Brother Wm became sick by taking a bad cold which setled upon his lings and left him and came to lisun on the 24 of Dec there I found many of the Brethering gowen with them on the 25th to sevannah (?) the evening of the 25th Dec (?) came to kirtland there staied at farthers and attended to setling som afairs of the church with time (?) studdy [S.
