    Hope Is a Commandment

Francisco Dique Sousa gained a testimony of the Restoration in 1990 when friends sent him copies of the Book of Mormon and Doctrine and Covenants. But the Church had no legal recognition in his home country, Mozambique, until 1996, so he had to wait six years for baptism. When asked if he had ever felt discouraged about the long wait, Dique replied, “For me, hope is a commandment.”
