A Voice of Warning (1837)
Parley P. Pratt wrote A Voice of Warning over a two-month period while on a mission to New York. This book was the most important of all Mormon missionary tracts of the 19th century and was eventually published in more than 30 English editions and several non-English versions. It detailed the differences between The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and other Christian denominations, using biblical texts to explain the Restoration, the coming forth of the Book of Mormon, modern-day revelation, and the events preceding the Second Coming of Christ.
Parley P. Pratt was an Apostle, missionary, and prolific author of missionary tracts.
