Fascinated by the vibrant colors and diverse patterns of scraps of fabric, Henriksen was surprised when she began pairing pieces and they came together in a cohesive whole. Surrounded by other pieces, each scrap was more compelling than it would be on its own. There is beauty and interest in community, which is valuable for individual differences.
