An intersecting circle and square represent the place where earth and heaven meet. The eight-pointed star, or "Seal of Melchizedek," represents the priesthood under which covenants and service are rendered. In mortality and under direction of the priesthood, members of the Church give and receive service with loving hands as they strive to help all of God’s children back to His presence.
