A youth troubled by a quest for truth moves from despair to revelation in this sequential series of portraits. A seemingly unlikely candidate for a heavenly visitation—a young boy, poor, and uneducated—Joseph Smith evidences God’s desire to speak to all of His children. It is in response to his prayer that Joseph learns mankind is created in the image of God and thereby, all are alike unto Him.
