"My artwork depicts exaltation, and as I was making it, I had the hope that those who looked at it would be changed in some way. The flowers are primarily ones found in Japan, and the mountains are the mountains of Japan. This is because Japan is Zion to me. The many flowers represent people, and the small cherry blossoms and flower petals represent blessings. The different types of flowers express that each and every person is different and that no matter how big or great a person is, everyone is equal before God. They also express the idea that the time it takes in order to return to God’s presence is different for each person."
