"With this work of art I want to send a message of hope. Even though people may say that today’s youth are in the wrong pathways, there are still great young men and women who are giving a new pathway to this generation—who shine the Light of Christ through their example and obedience for all those who are not traveling along good paths. I have used the symbols of the human torch (the Light of Christ in each of us) and of the planet earth and flags (all nations and people) to show that we must be a light to every corner of the world. The roiled waves symbolize the fearsome waves of sin, into which people can fall. We can help more people in all their needs, trials, and afflictions."
