"As youth we have daily opportunities to “arise and shine forth” in small but effective ways. We can do this at school, in sports teams, or in any type of interaction with others. We can do this by refusing to cheat, asking someone politely not to use foul language, or choosing not to participate in activities that do not coincide with the standards of the Church. My painting portrays a person giving a piece of their testimony to another. Simply being an example gives other people a piece of our light or testimony. I chose to paint just hands because they can represent anybody—anyone can have this experience of sharing their testimony."
