"In my work, the central figure knows very confidently who she is, why she is here, and what her ultimate goal is. She carries her own torch, which represents her individual testimony. The torch is unwavering in the wind; celestial rays cut through and bring peace. As a disciple of Christ, she is buoyed up and faces forward with calm strength. She walks boldly, unafraid, and peaceful in the midst of the tossing waves because she knows where to look for help and knows that even in black storms, Heavenly Father's light shines on her. The gospel of Jesus Christ is the only light that can be a true standard because it never falters. We can rise up, no matter our surroundings, and be confident that our light cannot be extinguished."
