"This painting is of flowers reaching for Christ. He is admiring their strength and ability to rise out of even the hardest ground. They are making the world a more beautiful place. A wonderful thing about African daisies is that if you can get a few to really grow, they will reseed—and each year you will have more and more. The flowers symbolize each of us as we are striving to grow and thrive—the flowers that are turned to Christ and reaching for Him are doing well. The focus of the painting is the light in the center where Christ is nurturing an individual flower. As we turn our lives to Christ and focus on Him, we can overcome our trials and temptations, make the world a better place, and spread the gospel."
