"My abstraction of the butterfly symbolizes each person’s spiritual metamorphosis. Just as a butterfly begins life as a caterpillar but must emerge from a cocoon to fulfill the purpose of its creation, we must complete a spiritual transformation as we follow God's plan and eventually shine forth in the glory that God has in store for us. The butterfly's wings symbolize our spiritual ability to free ourselves of earthly constraints and soar to the heavens. Just as a butterfly flies through the air and shows its beauty to the world, we can let our spiritual beauty shine for all to see as we metaphorically fly through our lives. Our spiritual transformation mimics a butterfly's physical transformation—and both reflect God's beauty."
