“Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, . . . and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy rereward” (Isaiah 58:8).
"The gospel is much like the morning—it is hopeful and good. The youth in this painting arise and shine forth their light of hope just as the sun breaks through the morning clouds. They stand with torches representing truth and righteousness—beacons for the world to see—bringing forth the glad and hopeful message of the gospel. The sun represents the Son, or the Savior, Jesus Christ. The people stand together in front of the sun, not seeing the sun directly, but seeing its influence, its reflection. Each individual contributes to a great light that resembles the light of the Son."
