"Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego would not bow to the idol that King Nebuchadnezzar built. When they did not bow, the king ordered them to be thrown into the fiery furnace. However, they were not hurt, and the king could see with them a fourth man who looked “like the Son of God” (Daniel 3:24–25). Like Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego, we need to be brave today in our beliefs. I want to do what is right and avoid addictions to things like computers, video games, and pornography. Those are some of the idols of today. The young men were not touched by the fire around them because they chose the right. As I keep my standards, I will be protected from the fires of today, and others may follow my example."
