"In my mosaic table, the sun provides nourishing light for the leaves and branches of the tree, which then are able to grow, blossom, and produce good fruit. The sun symbolizes us as disciples of Christ, and the rays of light are the gospel that we must share. The branch and leaves represent the people around us who need the light. The oranges and blossoms are the result of the nourishment obtained from the sun. As disciples of Christ we must stand up and share the gospel with everyone around us so that their spirits can also be nourished. They in turn will grow, be motivated to give forth good fruit, and also share the light with others."
