All the Things We Cannot See

Using various eyeglasses to stand in for the variety of our imperfect perspective, All the Things We Cannot See “explores the universal experience of fallibility, of not seeing clearly, being blind to things, and needing correction. It is about our own imperfect choices which result in sin, as well as the things we are blind to as we look at others. It questions what we see with mortal eyes, through the lens of our own limited experience, and explores the unseen adversities and trials of others,” said Graff. “The imagery invites the viewer to see through other eyes, to position themselves in the lives and experiences of different people. What is it to live their struggles? To feel their pains? . . . The painting acknowledges the very real difficulties of mortality and redemptive hope of atonement.”
