“We are surrounded by color, variety, and joy,” said Mott, “but our suffering often makes us close our eyes tight to the loving assistance of those around us.” While at first glance the happy scene is exuberant, celebratory, and bright, among the balloons, floral patterns, and vivid colors remains the need for comfort. Even the smallest of injuries can at first blind us to the beauty around, but the love of compassionate friends and service from family mirror the comfort that is offered continually by the Savior.
