When we partake of the sacrament, we follow Jesus Christ’s simple request to eat and to drink in remembrance of Him. This painting expresses Mann’s gratitude for “all the tools Christ left for us before ascending to heaven, [including] the powerful sacrament.” Made for a children’s book called Miracles of Jesus, this piece captures the warmth and power of the moment through the glowing oil lamps, which brightly light the Savior and those around.
