“As Armenians, we are proud that Noah descended from our Mt. Ararat after the biblical flood,” said Khachatryan. The mountain is considered sacred by many Armenians and is a national symbol of the Armenian people. It is even included on the national flag along with the ark. As such, the topic is common among Armenian folk-art traditions.
