Bearing testimony through his work, Russell said, “The works of the Lord are many and wonderful: it was He who formed the mountains and made the great oceans. It was He who calmed the winds and parted the waters. But the works of the Lord and His wonders are most powerful when they are personal. It was He who saw the blind man, He who heard the cries of those who could not speak. It was He who lifted the lame to their feet and bade them walk with Him. In the same way, it is He who lifts each of us today. . . . His power to make us whole is, to me, the greatest of His works and His wonders.”
