Creating a sense of peace and tranquility for the viewer, Rydalch created Still of the Night as a way to capture the quieting of temporary thoughts that comes when we consider eternal perspectives. “In the dark and quiet of the night, my frenzied thoughts are subdued. The moon guides me as I walk or sit among the trees, the beauty and wonder of Heavenly Father’s creation surrounds me. I can begin to reflect, consider possibilities, and listen for guidance. . . . As the moon can gently light our path, so too can we be guided by our Heavenly Father. We see the steps near us though the entire path may not be clear.”
