The title of this painting is taken from the hymn "Our Mountain Home So Dear": “In sylvan depth and shade, / In forest and in glade, / Where-e’er we pass, / Where-e’er we pass, / The hand of God we see.”
“In the stillness of the forest, in the quiet of the desert, in the security and peace of the mountains is where I feel most connected to my creator,” said Peterson. “From towering snow-capped peaks that span miles down to the most delicate veins of a leaf, all things bear witness of His great power and care.”
