In 2 Nephi, said Romero, “Lehi said there is opposition in all things, ‘even the forbidden fruit in opposition to the tree of life’ (2 Nephi 2:15).” This work imagines these powerful and transformative fruits. Romero said, “Imagine a literal fruit that is glorious, pure white; it brings joy and even immortality. Contrastingly another fruit that will give knowledge and mortality just by simply eating it, but that knowledge also includes all the negative aspects of mortality, including suffering and death.”
