The One is a spiritual self-portrait of the artist, who, she explained, “strayed from the gospel path and eventually found myself lost and forsaken in the world. In learning of Jesus Christ and His Atonement, I was able to understand that I am never alone, that I am loved, and that no matter how far I think I have fallen, I am never out of His reach. Though my sins were as scarlet, through the Atonement of my Savior I was again made white and was given the strength to once again join the ninety and nine.”
