“Be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you” (1 Peter 3:15).

Johnson, through symbolism and allegory, explores the idea of readying oneself to testify of hope. To ready ourselves requires that we remember failings and vulnerabilities in mortality, as well as remembering “the works and wonders of what the Lord has done for us, remembering our own individual likeness to this great universe, and remembering the infinite source of that which can make us whole, complete, and at home,” said Johnson.
