The Winters She Has Passed Through

“In the Book of Mormon, Captain Moroni rent part of his garment and wrote upon it,” said Lindsay. “With his own hand, he inscribed the things that were most dear to him. Following Moroni's example, the people threw their garments at his feet, as evidence of their commitment to God.”

Drawing upon that symbolism, Lindsay captures sections from her journals that make manifest the hand of God in her life. Like rings on a tree that make manifest the seedling’s transformation to a giant oak, Lindsay, through her journals, can see her growth. She said, “Winters define the lines that encompass my experience, but I see the Lord’s hand in my growth, line upon line.”
