Humbled and elevated by the ancient petroglyphs he saw in Utah, Edwards “wondered who the artists were, what they were like, and what they were trying to communicate”—about themselves, their time, their way of life, and their place in the world, both past and present. The urge to create and to make records of our experience is a spiritual urging, and this painting pays tribute to that deep desire that captures the human spirit. Said Elder Dieter F.
