“The waters saw thee, O God, the waters saw thee; they were afraid: the depths also were troubled. The clouds poured out water: the skies sent out a sound: thine arrows also went abroad. . . . Thy way is in the sea, and thy path in the great waters, and thy footsteps are not known. Thou leddest thy people like a flock by the hand of Moses” (Psalm 77:16–17, 19–20).
Exploring the imagery found in Psalm 77, Silva envisioned Moses stepping into the waters of the sea, moving forward with faith to guide the people through the storm. She explained, “I consider this a symbol of the way the Savior can sustain me . . . if I advance with faith in Him, before a threatening, stormy, and agitated world.”
