“Benediction is a eulogy sculpture I made initially for my mother, and it also symbolizes the memorial aspect of dedicating a death and rebirth to immortality. The angel is poised on a sphere representing the world. One hand holds lilies for death and renewal, while in the other she holds aloft a lit torch, symbolizing eternal life.”
