“The subject I have chosen to paint is a portrait of the Savior Jesus Christ. It is something I have felt strongly about painting for the last three years. I first gained my testimony of the Savior in my teenage years by reading the words of the Savior in the New Testament and then later in the Book of Mormon. I knew then the Savior was real. I have felt His love, and I want to try to be like Him. It is that love that I wanted to convey in the painting—the love the Savior has for all Heavenly Father’s children.”
