“Profile portraits by Sutcliffe Maudsley of Joseph Smith, which Joseph posed for during his lifetime, are rare historical treasures. The Prophet was painted and drawn a number of times in side views, while there is only one authenticated painting where his likeness is a frontal view. I hope my portrait adds to the legacy of profile paintings of Joseph Smith.”
