“The greatest heritage we have is the eternal ties we build with our families. Each piece of the family is unique and necessary and offers its own beauty and character. This vase is a representation of the eternal family unit. Founded on the saving ordinances of the temple and bound together with love, a family that looks with faith to the Savior through the trials of life will become a chain of unbreakable, eternal bonds, which will bring that family back into the presence of our Father and fulfill His plan for our happiness. This is our heritage of faith: God lives, and we can be together forever as families with Him. On a personal note—this vase with eight segments forming the body represents the eight people in my own family, each with unique beauties, highlights, and imperfections, and each an important part of my life.”
