“Isaac’s beautiful wife, Rebekah, has always been an incredible example of faith and courage to me. In our modern, defiled world, Rebekah’s example of dedication and sacrifice shines particularly brightly. She courageously left her home and family, knowing she would never see them again, and traveled hundreds of miles from her home in Ur of the Chaldees to Canaan to marry a cousin she had never met but to whom her eternities would become closely tied. She had courage to step into the dark because she had faith in the one whom she knew would light her way. She persevered till her faith became unshakeable, a solid source of strength and comfort throughout her often tumultuous life. To me she is a shining example of active, vibrant, deep, and sustaining faith and a critical piece of my own precious heritage of faith.”
