“This piece depicts people of various cultures partaking of the fruit of the tree of life. I love the story of Lehi’s dream and wanted to create a piece that would tell this story visually. I focused on 1 Nephi 8:12, where Lehi states, ‘As I partook of the fruit thereof it filled my soul with exceedingly great joy; wherefore, I began to be desirous that my family should partake of it also; for I knew that it was desirable above all other fruit.’ As members of the Church, we have this fruit available to us and should desire to share it with the entire human family.”
