“My print tells the redeeming story of humanitarian aid during my work in Kersa Illala, Ethiopia. The source image of a venerable Muslim man dying from malaria was taken inside a medical supply tent. He accepts small sips of precious, clean, bottled water. Imagine how help and hope arrive for villagers. Look for Latter-day Saint charity missionaries with wheelchairs that provide mobility to those who otherwise crawl. Imagine how it must feel to soothe malnourished newborns in your arms while feeding them lifesaving Atmit porridge from Welfare Square. Doctors and nurses with donated medical supplies relieve suffering and save lives. Youth help clean and clothe the naked and afterward play with the children. Villagers now drink clean water from wells paid for with our donations, and a new life begins, free from contaminated water.”
