"This is a folding leather pop-up album depicting the spiritual and temporal history of the inhabitants of the Americas. A parallel timeline shows the history of the Book of Mormon peoples (green) compared to the biblical history of their ancestors on a different continent (red). Through the tooled leather visualization, I have depicted a unique ancient cultural history—the teachings, lives, temples, and prophets—in three dimensions. This history was taken from translated ancient records telling of the arrival of the Lamanites and Nephites, their wars, and later, for many, their destruction."
