“'But behold, I will show unto you a God of miracles, even the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob; and it is that same God who created the heavens and the earth, and all things that in them are' (Mormon 9:11). In sumi-e ink painting, bamboo has traditionally been a symbol of the strength and vitality of life. Its strong, rough form reveals the energy bursting through its stem as it grows toward the heavens. This truly makes it an appropriate symbol of the wonder of the creations of God."
