"Both the design of this artwork and its execution are the work of the artist. The glass used for the figural portions of the design is hand-rolled, antique glass. Because the glass is handmade, it contains idiosyncrasies—such as tiny bubbles, wrinkles, and changes—that catch the light and flood it into the room. The oranges glow, the yellows are brilliant, and the reds swim with saturation. Ultimately, we are all hand-rolled. I testify that our weaknesses are like the ripples and roughness in the glass—only a vehicle for His grace, mercy, and love. As we bring all we have—including, and especially, our imperfections—to the altar, He returns us full of light and magnificence."
