"The subject of this painting is my son, who recently served in the Germany and Switzerland mission. This was a very hard mission as far as finding people to teach and baptize. My son was inspired by a passage from Preach My Gospel: “Go about doing good and serving people at every opportunity, whether or not they accept your message” (page 11). My son learned that he was not responsible for whether or not people listened to or accepted the message of the Restoration. He was responsible only to remember the great work of God and be a worthy instrument in His hands. My son yet found joy and success in the work".
