"The gift of agency is one of the greatest gifts our Father has given us. It is a pillar in the plan of salvation. Eve, tasting of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil in the Garden of Eden, has often been used as a symbol of agency. I have chosen to depict a woman, one of Eve’s countless daughters, selecting fruit. She reminds us that we are all given this great gift of agency and that each of us picks and chooses what we will do and think. Will we choose to listen to the Spirit and make covenants? If we do, will we choose obedience and integrity in how we live in relationship to our covenants? Life is full of daily choices, small and large. How we choose shapes our spirit and directs our course in this life."
