"What child does not flourish under the added love, protection, and steady hand of a grandparent? Is it not the same answer when the question is reversed? What caring grandparent does not thrive under a second chance to be a guide and teacher of truth and light to a small, trusting, innocent grandchild? Both are beneficiaries. To quote a wonderful proverb: 'Children’s children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers'” (Proverbs 17:6).
