"I wanted this landscape to draw the viewer into a vista that is slightly dreamlike—to portray the feelings one has when surrounded by the gift of God’s beautiful creations. I wanted to remind viewers of the earth’s natural beauty and the fact that its fertile, cyclical magic is, sadly, secluded from our everyday lives much of the time. The castle represents hope—the rustic yet stately beginnings of our future home, prepared for us by our Savior."
